BUSYBODIES
Well, it seems they are still out there. You would think that after years of being ignored and laughed at, the poor fools who think that they somehow have the right to dictate to other folks how to enjoy their lifestyle would have slunk back under the rocks of their trailer park, you know, the one with all the ancient motorcycles with their training wheels still attached propped up on blocks in the front yard. Well, no such luck. The good folks who think that their opinions somehow matter are still very much among us, spreading their peculiar brand of stupidity and unfortunately there are still those who are sufficiently weak of character who will sometimes actually listen to them.
I’ll be honest. I don’t which pack of idiots to feel sorrier for. I mean think about it. A damned fool writes in a forum that he is so upset with collars being a fashion statement that he is ready to go up to people and loudly remonstrate with them about it. Now, if this moron had any sense he would immediately realize that if he actually did that he would either be laughed at or kicked in the groin, depending on how drunk the people he assaulted were.
And recently someone wrote on the club mailing list for a local dungeon wondering if his style of play would be welcome there because some clods on the internet had expressed disapproval. And fortunately he was told to ignore those clods and come and have fun.
When are these unfortunate imbeciles going to understand that no one cares what they think or what garbage they spew in their newsgroups or mailing lists or online forums. Nobody with an ounce of brains or guts is going to change their style of play or a relationship dynamic one iota simply because of some words on a screen and all they are going to accomplish is to make themselves very very unhappy and frustrated.
Welcome to the real world.
