HOW TO CREATE A GROUP
One of the biggest problems that beset people who are dissatisfied with their club or community is the feeling that if they go against the prevailing attitudes they will be frozen out or kicked out. The best solution for this is to simply create your own and split off. That way no one can ostracize you.
1. Make a determination of who agrees with you about what you don't like. Don't worry, there will always be a number of folks who are in the same boat you are.
2. Set up a chatroom. This is something the various sites out there are really good for but you can do it through a web page or IRC as well. Use this chatroom to get people to start openly complaining about things.
3. When you have enough folks, say at least a dozen, start planning a meeting. A simple munch works perfectly for this. Arrange to meet at a given time at a local bar or restaurant. Try to repeat this every week, it works better at keeping folks than doing it monthly.
4. Make a point of trying to attact folks with money. You can never overestimate the importance of having financial resources.
5. Start looking for play space. With luck, someone will have a home dungeon you can borrow once a month and if you are luckier still someone may have a building (but don't count on that).
6. Organize a play party. You should aim for at least one play party a month but the more the merrier.
Ok, at this point you have a working group that has play space and its own parties. You are now no longer dependent upon any other club or community. It no longer matters who approves of you or your group, there is nothing they can do about it.
Have fun!!!
