THE JOY OF INTOLERANCE
I will happily admit that I am the most intolerant of men. I will never be so weak as to pretend that I have a use for that which I despise, such as the Old Guard, or even admit that such have place on this planet. On the contrary, I find in the expressions of contempt that can be heaped upon those whom I regard as blights upon the human race the most delightful use of the English language.
Tolerance is a sickness. It is the weakening of the bones and the dulling of the mind. It begins with fuzzy do-gooderism and ends with the person being reduced from the status of human to that of an invertebrate, a sort of elongated jellyfish with no courage, no will and no guts. In other words, a tolerant person, someone who will endure insult, stupidity, foolishness, cowardice and just about anything else rather than be thought intolerant. And it is a sickness bred of a culture of cowardice, of so wanting to be accepted that people will do anything to fit in. How else can one explain the self-righteous, whining drivel that we find on the perv websites.
Consider if you the piece of utter crap floating around about how people in the scene have bad manners and say bad things about each other and isn’t it just awful! It’s impossible to read that load of garbage without getting ill and the upshot of it all, the final idiocy of the work, is the statement to the effect that if the offenders don’t change their evil, sinful, nasty ways people will say bad things about them and not invite them to parties!
Is that all they can threaten anyone with? Disapproval??
Great Horns of SATAN!!!!! What kind of worms do they think they are dealing with that such things would even matter?
It gets better. We should be tolerant because the cursed, godless nillers don’t approve of us. So what? Who cares what the nillers think? If they get in the way there are ways of dealing with them. I’ve been really tempted to respond to something like that with, “Guess what dumb dumb, the only difference between us and nillers is that our nervous systems are more evolved. We’re smarter. Sort of like the difference between Neanderthals and Modern Humans. We’ve evolved beyond morality so don’t try to use it to preach at us. We’re superior in the ways that matter, we don’t need to lower ourselves to try to be ‘morally’ superior.”
No, we should be intolerant. We should be intolerant of stupidity. We should be intolerant of cowardice. We should be intolerant of pretensions of hierarchy and imbecilitic titles. Most of all, we should be intolerant of the controlling fools and dick-heads out there who go around preaching tolerance and community and all those other things they would use to fit us into their boxes. And, having achieved our intolerance, we should enjoy it, revel in it and rejoice in it.
Intolerance, after all, is an expression of human freedom, the freedom to think and express thoughts no matter what others may feel on the matter. That is what makes it such a virtue and why everyone should be as intolerant as possible.
It certainly is one of the reasons I will never abandon it.
